Rani Channamma, the queen of Kittur in Karnataka, is celebrated for her courageous resistance against British colonial rule in the early 19th century. In 1824, she led her troops in a fierce battle to protect her kingdom from British annexation. The conflict arose after the British attempted to take control following the death of her husband, ignoring her claims to the throne.

Channamma rallied her subjects and fought valiantly, employing strategic tactics to defend Kittur. Her forces initially achieved significant victories against the British, inspiring widespread support and showcasing her leadership. Despite facing overwhelming odds, her resolve and bravery became legendary.

The battle at Kittur symbolized the struggle for sovereignty and became a significant event in the history of India’s resistance against colonialism. Although ultimately defeated and captured, Rani Channamma’s legacy endures as a symbol of courage and defiance. Her contributions continue to inspire generations, celebrating women’s roles in India’s freedom struggle.

  • Replacements are not feasible after 30 days from the dispatch date & any requests for the same will not be entertained.

4) Shipping loss and Refund Policy

  • In case the article is lost during transit, being an Insured article, claims for refunds or replacement coin sets will be considered only after receiving the compensation amount for the lost article from the postal department.
