550TH PRAKASH PURAB OF SRI GURU NANAK DEV JI
Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji is the first Guru and founder of Sikh religion. His advent at Nankana Sahib in 1469 is celebrated as his date of birth i.e. Parkash Purab. His 550th Parkash Purab (550th Birth Anniversary) on 12th November 2019 was celebrated all over the world.

Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth and last living Sikh Guru, was born on 22.12.1666 in Patna. His name was Gobind Rai Sodhi. After spending his childhood in Patna, he left for Anandpur in the foothills of the Sivalik range of mountains in March, 1672.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee was one of the greatest parliamentarians of India, born on 25th December 1924 in Gwalior, in today’s Madhya Pradesh. He did his post-graduation in political science from DAV College Kanpur. Atal Bihari Vajpayee was Member of Parliament for over four decades having been elected to Lok Sabha, ten times and twice to the Rajya Sabha.

Rajya Sabha is the upper House of Parliament of India, which sagaciously supports democracy, best parliamentary practices and contributes towards nation building under the Chairmanship of Vice- President of India. Tracing back to the history of Rajya Sabha, Bicameral Central Legislature in India came into existence as per the provision of the Government of India Act, 1919 and was inaugurated in 1921 consisting of Governor-General and two Houses, namely, the Council of States and the Legislative Assembly.
